Mission Statement

The Marching Blue endorses and is strongly supportive of the letter and spirit of the missions of the High School. In order to give substance and meaning to this statement, the Midview Marching Blue is an ambassador to the Midview School District and will be composed of dedicated and accomplished musicians striving for the highest levels of excellence in academics, discipline, and performance.

Dedication and intensity are the driving forces behind the Band Program. Dedication is demonstrated by each member’s commitment to making every rehearsal or performance superior to the one before. The band’s motto “Pride” embodies this ongoing pursuit for perfection. Intensity is generated when each individual gives his or her best towards the group’s goals. This creates cohesiveness and unity in the organization, which fortifies its strengths and broadens its capabilities from within.

Booster Meeting Minutes and Agendas - The Band is financially supported by Midview Band Boosters, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit made up of Band member parents. Years of agendas and meeting minutes can be found here.

Fundraisers

It takes a lot of resources to make sure the Band has everything they need. We hold fundraisers throughout the year to raise these funds.

Blitz Day - Information about Blitz Day, where Band members hit the neighborhoods and sell the Gold Cards. The Gold Cards give the card holder discounts for the year at local businesses.

Parade of Bands - Information about our Parade of Bands event. The Marching Blue invites visiting marching bands from other school districts for a night of half time shows.

Evening with the Band - The High School Winter Concert doubles as our Evening with the Band fundraiser.

Night at the Races - Our annual adults only fundraiser.
