Be Outgoing and Confident
What to Say (Opening)

Drivers
When you arrive at 9:30, maps will be laid out for you to pick. Once you choose one, 4+ students will be assigned to you. Each student will get a pack of 10 cards and you will get a few more (just in case). Drive the students to the route, let them walk door to do while you drive behind them making sure they are safe and are always in groups. There are special “count” forms in which you will need to fill out before you go, and there is a “Driver form” you must fill out as well.
Other than that, go out and help our students sell! And thank you for donating your time!
What to do
- Dress the part
- Go to the door in pairs
- Knock enthusiastically (a good solid know shows confidence)
- When someone answers, be outgoing and confident, hand them the card to look at and let them know the price, but if they use the side coupon attached to the card, they get their money right back
- They may say no.
- Always say “Thank you, have a nice day”
Dress the Part
- When you go out on Blitz Day, we wear our Band Uniforms with the white trousers. No Hats, glove, or instrument is needed. Make sure your shoes are bright white! When you dress and look the part, it is easier to sell these cards
Go to the Door in Pairs
- Always go in pairs, never alone.
- NEVER go inside (even if it is a relative). This is for everyone’s safety
Be Outgoing and Confident
- When someone answers, have a smile on your face and say “Hi!”
What to Say (Opening)
- Always say “Hi!
- Hand them the card
- “Would like to make a $10.00 donation to the Midview High School Band Program”
- “On the back of the card you can see a lot of discounts available to shop and restaurants in our area”
- “on the side of the card, you will see a $10.00 discount coupon. When you use this, you get your $10.00 right back! It’s like you are getting this card for free!”
- All profits go towards: new uniforms, new Instruments, to assist in our fees.
- They may say no and they may not be polite. Always have a smile on your face, be polite and enthusiastic. And if they reject you, always say “Thank you very much for your time, have a wonderful day”
- Never show them that you are discouraged by their reactions.
