Your Marching Blue!

About the Band

Your Marching Blue performs regularly at the Midview High School Varsity Football Games, parades, and various Parade of Bands (including our own).  They perform popular music from the 80's to today and their goal is to give you an unforgettable performance every time!  While many marching bands perform the same show all season long, our band performs 3 different shows during the season to keep you entertained!

Battery

Battery, the marching percussion section, typically includes snare drums, tenor drums, bass drums, and cymbals and are responsible for keeping tempo for the band.

How to Volunteer for Games

The Marching Blue relies on parent volunteers for every performance and game.  These volunteer parents are vital due to the work required for these events.

Home games require the most volunteers during the football season.  The Band Boosters operates the concession stand and the funds are used to support the band.  We also have the Band Barn where we have food and snacks for The Marching Blue and visiting band.

Home games have a total of 26 volunteer positions available.  Away games have 10.

There are five home games and five away games.  This ultimately adds up to 180 volunteer positions for the entire football season.

If every family can commit to volunteering for one home game concession stand spot each season, we will have everything covered.

Other Volunteering Opportunities

If you love volunteering and would like to contribute to more volunteering opportunities, check out our Volunteer page for more information.  While Marching Band season calls for the most volunteers during the school year, we keep busy with other events and fundraisers throughout the school year and have plenty of volunteer opportunities available.  The Band relies on the money raised from these events and fundraisers to cover operating expenses.
